The Houston Police Department has announced charges against two suspects in connection to the shooting of a man at 8000 Miley Street around 5:25 p.m. on February 18, 2024. According to an HPD media release, officers responded to a shooting call at the aforementioned address. Officers were informed that a physical altercation between the male victim and suspects escalated when one of the suspects fired shots at the victim’s vehicle as it was leaving the area.
HPD claims that suspect is Nerrick Natron Henderson who is still wanted. Another suspect, Zachary Dewayne Scott, allegedly got into his vehicle and pursued the victim. The victim’s vehicle was found in the 5000 block of North Wayside Drive with several bullet holes. Three people were found inside the vehicle.
The driver was shot at least once. A 9-year-old male passenger suffered a cut from shards of glass. A 32-year-old adult male was uninjured. HPD said Scott was taken into custody on February 19, 2024. 45-year-old Nerrick Natron Henderson is not in custody.
Both suspects are charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
