Hoke County Sheriff’s Office arrests man wanted for homicide in New York

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man who had outstanding warrants for homicide out of New York. HCSO reports that US Marshals Fugitive Task Force members and Hoke County Special Operations personnel arrested Stepfane Gilliam in the 400 block of Ben Austin Road in Raeford on July 11, 2024.

Gilliam had outstanding warrants for his arrest for homicide out of New York. HCSO says it was determined that Gilliam was staying in Raeford. Once this information was confirmed by authorities, Gilliam was taken into custody at the residence.
