The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a road rage shooting that injured a 16-year-old female victim. HCSO reports that it responded to reports of gunshots near 4202 South Falkenburg Road in a possible road rage incident.
Around 5 p.m. on August 27, two parties were traveling northbound when they got into an altercation. Authorities say one driver fired a weapon at the other vehicle. One of the bullets hit a 16-year-old female passenger in the other vehicle.
The victim is being treated at TGH with non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers were not injured during the incident. HCSO’s Gunfire Response Investigations Team is investigating the shooting.
