Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrests 24-year-old Michael Aldana in fatal stabbing

A 24-year-old man is behind bars after the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old in Tampa. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that 24-year-old Michael Aldana has been charged with First Degree Murder with a Weapon.

HCSO says its Communications Center received multiple calls about a stabbing around 2:15 a.m. on November 3, 2024. Around 2:20 a.m., deputies reportedly responded to Northgreen at Carrollwood Apartments on Northgreen Avenue in Tampa.

Police say they found 19-year-old Arnold Gutierrez suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Detectives say that Aldana and Gutierrez were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation.

At some point, Aldana allegedly stabbed Gutierrez multiple times. Aldana was transported to the Orient Road Jail.
