A 44-year-old High Point man has been charged in connection to the death of a High Point woman. The High Point Police Department reports that detectives charged 44-year-old Trynarda N. Burns with homicide in the death of 27-year-old Lakeshia M. Foster. HPPD says Foster was the victim of an assault on Everette Lane.
Around 5:45 p.m. on May 18, 2024, officers responded to an investigation in the 600 block of Everette Lane. At the scene, officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The initial caller reported the shooting as a homicide. Evidence at the scene led to Violent Crimes Unit detectives responding to investigate.
At the time, Burns was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
