The Menifee Police Department reports that it has arrested a teacher at Heritage High School for allegedly physically assaulting a student on campus.

MPD says a School Resource Officer was notified of a report of child abuse at the school around 1:46 p.m. on November 12, 2024. Police say 54-year-old Stacey MacPherson was arrested for physically assaulting a student on campus.

Police say the investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between the teacher and the student.

As a result of the altercation, the suspect suffered a minor injury and did not require medical attention, according to authorities. The teacher was arrested for child abuse.
