A man is behind bars for allegedly battering a man and his spouse during a home invasion on April 13. According to the Henderson Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of Robbers Roost Avenue for a home invasion on April 13. Officers received information that the suspect had entered the home, battered the reporting party, and battered the spouse.
HPD says officers reached the scene and located the suspect who was still inside the residence. The suspect, who has been identified as 38-year-old Phillip Richardson, was taken into custody. The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Richardson is charged with the following.
- 1 count of Burglary
- 1 count of Home Invasion
- 1 count of Robbery w/ a Deadly Weapon (DW)
- 1 count of Battery w/ DW Resulting in Substantial Battery Harm
- 1 count of Battery w/ DW Resulting in Substantial Battery Harm (Elderly Enhancement)
- 2 counts of Trespass
Richardson was booked into the Henderson Detention Center.
