The Healdsburg Police Department has arrested a 22-year-old Healdsburg man following a violent assault. HPD reports that officers responded to a disturbance on Grove Street on June 19, 2024.

At the scene, HPD officers learned that the victim was hit in the head with a blunt object during an argument. The victim was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

The suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody. HPD says 22-year-old Andy Rosales Ortega was booked on a charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
