A 45-year-old Hartford man has been arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for child sex crimes. Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy reports that WCSO arrested Paul E. Wooddell following a lengthy investigation into allegations of Sexual Abuse of a Child over a period of several years.

Sheriff Murphy says the investigation indicated that Wooddell had sexual contact with a child less than thirteen for several years. Wooddell is charged with Predatory Sexual Assault of a Child and Criminal Sexual Act in the 1st Degree.

At this time, he is being held without bail and will be arraigned in the Washington County Court.
