Harris County Sheriff’s Office searching for man who abandoned pre-mature infant girl on Casa Martin

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the man who abandoned an infant on Saturday. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported on social media that HCSO units responded to the 5500 block of Casa Martin.

Adjacent to the bayou, authorities found a pre-mature infant girl who still had her umbilical cord attached. The infant was found abandoned wrapped in a blank. The infant was transported to an area hospital in fair condition.

Gonzalez reports that HCSO is asking for the public’s help in identifying the incident involved in this incident. The suspect is described as a young Hispanic or white male. The man is slim with a fair complexion and black hair. At the time, he was holding the infant wrapped in a towel.

He was wearing a black shirt and possibly gray pants. The man was walking on the Plantation Lakes walking trail. No other details are available. Anyone with information is asked to contact HCSO at 713-830-3250 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
