The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday night. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reports that deputies responded to a shooting in the 9500 block of Willow Lodge Ct near West Road and Sam Houston Tollway South.

At this time, it is believed that a man, who had a gun, arrived at the residence of his former girlfriend or wife. The man attempted to make entry into the residence when he was shot. The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Gonzalez says the alleged shooter remained at the scene. No other details are available at this time.
