The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting at the underpass at the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Rt and Eastex Fwy. At this time, it is not known what led up to the shooting. In a social media post, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said it appears that an adult male driver exited his vehicle, approached a vehicle from behind, and someone in the 2nd vehicle shot the male.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The unidentified shooter in the 2nd vehicle fled the scene. A toddler was in the victim’s vehicle at the time of the shooting. The toddler was unharmed. Investigators are currently responding to the scene.
