Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced the shooting via a social media post at 9:33 p.m. December 15, 2023.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 13700 block of Smokey Trail to investigate an apparent drive-by shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found two males – one adult, and one juvenile – suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics transported the victims to an area hospital for treatment. The adult male sustained gunshot wounds to his leg.

The victim’s conditions are unknown at this time. No further details regarding the shooting have been released.
