The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male in connection to a fatal stabbing. On July 20, 2024, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported on social media that deputies responded to a call for service in Northwest Harris County in the 20800 block of Sunshine Meadow.

At the scene, deputies found an adult female suffering stab wounds. The victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. In a later update, HCSO identified the victim as 62-year-old Dana Magnuson.

Gonzalez said Magnuson was described as an active community member and beloved by everyone who knew her. On July 29, 2024, Sheriff Gonzalez reported that a 15-year-old male had been arrested and charged with Murder in connection to the fatal stabbing.

The juvenile is in custody at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
