Haltom Police announce arrest of illegal Honduran immigrant in kidnapping from Acacia Apartments

Haltom, Texas – The Haltom City Police Department has announced an arrest following a kidnapping. According to HCPD, it was notified by the Grapevine Police Department of a kidnapping and robbery at the Acacia Apartments at 5000 Denton Highway in Haltom City around 8:14 a.m. on December 24.

Police say a 22-year-old female victim was abducted at gunpoint while walking to her vehicle around 4:45 a.m.

HCPD alleges that 35-year-old Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy, from Honduras, forced the victim into her vehicle. He allegedly made threats and forced the woman to withdraw money from a nearby bank.

The victim was driven roughly 22 miles to the Camden Apartments at 3900 Grapevine Mills Parkway where she was restrained. Police say the victim managed to escape and summon help while the suspect fled in her vehicle.

On December 25, the Oklahoma City Police Department found the stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Southwest 39th Street. The suspect was taken into custody.

Godoy has been charged with Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Use of a Firearm While Committing a Felony, Receiving, Possessing, or Concealing Stolen Property, and Carrying or Possessing a Firearm by an Illegal Alien.

Godoy is being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center with an ICE detainer.
