Gwinnett County Police said in a media release that it is investigating the deaths of two individuals as a murder-suicide. Around 11:30 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a residence on Sterling Drive in Lawrenceville for a welfare check. A family member phoned 911 because the individuals inside the home were not answering their phones.

The caller does not live in Gwinnett County. At the scene, officers could see at least one person on the ground inside the residence. They made entry and called for an ambulance for the two individuals. Officers cleared the residence. FD confirmed that the two individuals were deceased.

Detectives say they believe this is a domestic-related incident. The deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide.
