According to a news release from the Gresham Police Department, detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened at a motel. Around 8:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a motel in the 700 block of East Powell Boulevard.

Callers reported that a man was kicking in a door to one of the units at the Golden Knight Motel. Once officers reached the scene, they contacted the suspect and at least one officer fired their weapon. The subject succumbed to his injuries.
