Holcomb, Mississippi – The Grenada County Sheriff’s Office reports in a social media post that it is still searching for Anthony Mitchell and two-month-old A’Marion Jakein Nason.
According to GCSO, the last possible location for Mitchell was in Greenwood on December 19, 2024. Investigators say they have reached out to family members and associates of Mitchell and Nason. No current location is known.
Police also say it has not been confirmed that anyone has had contact with Mitchell since the incident yesterday morning. GCSO says it is alleged that Mitchell assaulted the child’s mother before taking the child.
Mitchell is currently wanted in Grenada County for Domestic Violence. However, GCSO says the primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of the two-month-old child.

Update – The Grenada County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that A’Marion Nason was returned home early this morning. GCSO says the child was left on the doorstep of his mother’s home in a plastic box wrapped in a red blanket and wearing a Ziploc bag as a diaper.
GCSO is still searching for Anthony Mitchell how is wanted for Domestic Violence. Authorities also expect more charges.
