The Greeley Police Department says a shooting on Saturday evening claimed the life of a 19-year-old Greeley man. GPD reports that its officers responded to the 2000 block of 9th Avenue for reports of a shooting around 7:10 p.m. on November 2, 2024.

Police say officers found a 19-year-old man lying in the roadway suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to GPD.

GPD says there was a related motor vehicle accident near the shooting location involving unoccupied vehicles. Authorities believe the victim and suspect knew each other and the attack was not random.
