Greater Manchester Police have announced an arrest in 2022 murder of Headley “Barry” Thomas. Greater Manchester Police report that Joshua Carroll has been charged with murder.
Carroll is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court later on Tuesday. Around 2:30pm on 12 September 2022, the victim, Barry Thomas, was found unresponsive in Penn Park in Old Trafford.
The 51-year-old was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on 2 October 2022. Authorities launched a murder investigation which included a park-wide appeal following the attack.
