The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a fatal shooting in Glennville. The shooting occurred near Martin Luther King Drive and Church Drive. On December 18, 2023 around 7:30 p.m., Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office deputies requested the GBI to investigate the slaying of 32-year-old Tyrice Harkeem Tigner.

Authorities say that around 6:05 p.m., Glennville Police Department officers and deputies with the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office responded to 911 calls about a shooting. Upon arrival, authorities found Tigner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tigner was transported to an area hospital, but he passed away on the way.

Authorities say the investigation is active and ongoing. Once the investigation is complete, it will be reviewed by the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
