The Gardena Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing at the Travelers Mobile Home Park. GPD says it received a call about a stabbing at the mobile home park at 13801 South Vermont Avenue around 12:15 a.m. on August 31, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found a male victim. Life-saving measures were taken, but the victim, 64-year-old Juan Garcia, succumbed to his injuries. GPD says a neighbor was identified and arrested for murder.

23-year-old Darren Aragon was transported to the Gardena Police Department for booking.
