Galveston Police arrest woman for intoxication manslaughter in crash that killed one and injured others

Galveston, Texas – The Galveston Police Department has announced the arrest of 34-year-old Alexis Cisneros of Texas City in connection to a deadly collision.

According to a GPD statement, officers responded to reports of a major accident at 29th Street and Harborside Drive involving a head-on collision between two vehicles around 5:45 p.m. on January 20.

Police say it was determined that a black BMW was traveling westbound on Harborside when it crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a white Toyota Tacoma with five passengers.

One occupant of the Tacoma was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other passengers of the Tacoma were transported to the UTMB Galveston emergency room.

Authorities say Alexis Cisneros was the driver of the BMW. She was transferred to the UTMB emergency room but was later released.

Cisneros was booked into the Galveston County Jail on charges of Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault.
