The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Riverdale. FCSO reports that the victim has been identified as 35-year-old Isaias Lopez of Coalinga. Just before midnight on July 24, 2024, deputies responded to a call from a home near West Mount Whitney Avenue and Garfield Avenue in Riverdale.

At the scene, responding deputies found a male victim who had been shot. First aid was provided but the man succumbed to his injuries. Homicide Detectives responded to investigate the fatal shooting.

Detectives believe there was a group of people at the residence and all of them knew each other. A disturbance occurred and shots were fired. One man was struck. Detectives are trying to determine who fired the shots.

No one is in custody at this time.
