The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in a recent homicide. According to the Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, the victim was identified as 33-year-old Cassandra Munoz of Fresno. Around 5:30 a.m. on December 24, deputies responded to a report of an injured individual in the roadway near East Adams and South Highland Avenues east of Fowler.

A woman was found deceased with injuries consistent with a homicide. At this time, police have not identified a suspect or suspects. Homicide detectives are working to learn more about the victim. They are eager to speak to people who knew Cassandra Munoz.
