The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a man who is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl. The Sheriff’s Office Sex Crimes Unit arrested 46-year-old Francisco Ramos of San Joaquin. Ramos was booked into the Fresno County Jail and charged with forceful rape. He is not eligible for bail.

48-year-old Teresa Tatarakis of Kerman has also been arrested for allegedly protecting Ramos from being located despite knowing he was wanted by law enforcement. Tatarakis was booked on a felony charge of being an accessory to a crime. She was able to post bond and has since been released from custody.

The Sheriff’s Office said it took a report about a 15-year-old girl who said she was raped by a man known to her family. During the investigation, detectives said they identified Francisco Ramos as the suspect. On Tuesday, detectives worked with the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force to search for Ramos at a motel in the area of Coalinga.

Ramos was found with Teresa Tatarakis. Both were arrested.
