Fort Collins Police are currently investigating an overnight shooting that injured one adult male and damaged a vehicle. Authorities say that officers responded to a call about shots fired in the 400 block of Butch Cassidy Drive just before 3 a.m. on October 19, 2024.
Officers say they were made aware that dispatch received a call from an individual reporting they were shot and were in a vehicle at a separate location. Authorities responded to both locations.
At the vehicle, officers reportedly found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound and bullet holes in the vehicle. The male victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, but authorities say he is expected to survive.
Fort Collins Police say that there was a party at a residence in the 400 block of Butch Cassidy Drive. A physical disturbance occurred before the shooting happened. Authorities believe this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
