A man is dead following a fatal motorcycle crash on East Drake Road in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Fort Collins Police Department reports that 911 received a notification of a single motorcycle crash in the 1000 block of East Drake Road around 7:26 p.m. on June 5, 2024.
At the scene, responding officers found an adult male driver suffering from life-threatening injuries. Life-saving measures were taken and the man was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
FPD’s CRASH Team responded to assume control of the investigation. FPD says the investigation indicates that a 2007 Yamaha was traveling westbound in the 1000 block of East Drake Road when it left the roadway and hit a fence on the north side of the road.
While investigators processed the scene, East Drake Road was closed between Lemay Avenue and Stover Street for roughly four hours.
