The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it has arrested a 19-year-old male from Houston on a murder warrant. On October 29, 2023 around 7:24 PM, deputies were sent to a convenience store parking lot in the 8600 block of FM 1464 FM Road in Richmond for a report of a shooting in a homicide and aggravated assault investigation. Upon arrival, deputies found a deceased 17-year-old male who’d been shot to death.

An adult female with gunshot injuries was also found. Authorities say information obtained from the investigation suggests that a suspect vehicle drove up to the victim’s vehicle. A suspect allegedly shot both victims before fleeing the area. The female victim was transported to the Houston Medical Center for treatment. Authorities say 19-year-old Jahlil Rainey of Houston was arrested on a murder warrant on October 31, 2023.

Rainey has a $750,000 bond.
