The Arkansas State Police say a former deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested. ASP reports that Special Agents with ASP’s Criminal Investigations Division arrested 56-year-old James Huffstetler for felony Theft of Property on November 4.
In August 2024, GCSO and the Greene County Prosecutor requested ASP to investigate suspected theft within the sheriff’s office. ASP alleges that its agents recovered GCSO property from Huffstetler.
No other details are available at this time. Huffstetler was arrested at his home in Paragould and transported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
