A former sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and charged in connection to a sexual assault. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports that the accused was a former Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department deputy.
Agents launched an investigation into the allegation on October 31, 2023. TBI agents say they determined that Christopher Peyton Watson assaulted the inmate while transporting her on October 30.
Watson is no longer employed by the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department. On May 17, 2024, agents arrested Watson, of Graysville, who is charged with one count of Rape and one count of Sexual contact with an Inmate.
