The Foley Police Department has announced an arrest in a violent stabbing on East Myrtle Avenue. According to FPD, the Investigations Division is investigating a stabbing that occurred in the 300 block of East Myrtle Avenue around 9 p.m. on March 22, 2024. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Early information indicates that the victim and assailant are known to one another. It is believed there was some type of argument that led up to the stabbing. In a later update, FPD announced that Miguel Roque Castillo had been arrested on a charge of Assault 1st Degree in the case. As of 5:45 p.m. on March 23, the victim remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
FPD says the charges may be upgraded going forward.
