The Florence Police Department has announced the arrest of a man who allegedly stabbed two people before fleeing with his 4 to 5-month-old child.
FPD reports that its officers responded to 1530 McClure Ct about a stabbing around 10:45 a.m. on November 18, 2024. At the scene, officers reportedly found a male victim and a female victim with stab wounds.
FPD says the suspect, Tevin Washington, fled the scene with his young child. Around 11:15 a.m., police located Washington at his residence and he was taken into custody without further incident.
FPD confirms the child was not harmed. The victims are in stable condition, according to authorities.
Washington is charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, one count of Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime, and one count of Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child.
