Fight among teens at Rancho Cucamonga food court leads to stabbing

The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department is investigating a stabbing following a fight between multiple teens in the food court. According to a news release from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, deputies with the Retail Theft Team responded to a stabbing near the 1200 block of North Main Street just before 8:30 PM on December 15, 2023.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 16-year-old victim with an apparent stab wound to the leg in the lower level of the parking structure behind the food court. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Police say the incident was an isolated fight in the food court involving multiple juveniles.

Police contacted several subjects involved in the altercations. Multiple sources of video have been collected. Police say the investigation is ongoing although there are no suspects outstanding. A 16-year-old male juvenile from Fontana is accused of stabbing a 16-year-old male juvenile from San Bernardino.
