FBI Aiding Search For Newborn After Mother, Grandmother, And Great-Grandmother Fatally Shot In South Florida

The FBI is now involved in the search for a missing baby who disappeared after a grisly triple homicide. The baby’s mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were fatally shot in Florida. Investigators have been scouring an area near Everglades City close to the Big Cypress Preserve on SR-29 hoping to find evidence that will lead them baby Andrew.

Detectives are attempting to find the route the baby’s father, Ernesto Caballeiro, drove. 49-year-old Ernesto Caballeiro kidnapped his week old son last month. A short time after the kidnapping, authorities discovered the bodies of the following victims.

  • 40-year-old Arlety García Valdés
  • 60-year-old Isabel Valdés González
  • 84-year-old Lina González Licor

A day after the child was taken, Ernesto was found dead in what police are calling a suicide in Pasco County. Investigators have been searching locations where Caballeiro might’ve dropped off the baby.
