Fayetteville Police makes 3rd arrest in shooting at Lake Fayetteville Environment Studies Center

The Fayetteville Police Department has announced another arrest in a fatal shooting at the Lake Fayetteville Environmental Studies Center. FPD says 20-year-old Jose Casillas of Bentonville was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threatening, unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle second-degree, engaging in violent criminal group activity, and aggravated assault.

On February 15 just before 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near 599 East Lakeview Drive where a man was found deceased. Multiple individuals were transported to area medical facilities with non-life-threatening injuries. 20-year-old Gilberto Gordillo was arrested six days later and charged with capital murder and four counts of attempted murder.

21-year-old Alberto Esteban-Cruz was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, terroristic act, and engaging in violent criminal group behavior.
