The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred on Monday. FPD reports that its officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance involving two men in the 700 block of South Reilly Road around 1:12 p.m. on June 21, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found a male victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
