A Saturday night shooting has left one man dead, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. FPD reports that its officers responded to the 2000 block of Cowan Street for a reported shooting around 10:12 p.m. on October 26, 2024.

Police say an adult male was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he passed away, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

Police are not releasing the victim’s name at this time. Detectives say they are actively investigating and ask anyone with information or video to contact detectives at 910-705-2141 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS.
