The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the parking lot of Save More Market. According to a BRPD social media post, Homicide Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the parking lot of the Save More Market at 2956 Nicholson Drive that occurred around 3:07 p.m. on March 24, 2024.

The victim, 22-year-old Jeffery Doutrive, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. At this time, authorities say the motive and suspect are unknown. The investigation is ongoing. No additional details are available at this time.
