Fallsburg Police arrest Monticello man after stabbing with pruning shears

The Fallsburg Police Department has announced the arrest of a man following a stabbing near Gombo’s Bakery. FPD reports that its officer was on Main Street in South Fallsburg when they witnessed a fight in progress on the sidewalk near the bakery on August 2, 2024.

The officer was able to break up the fight. The officer observed that one of the subjects had been stabbed several times in the back and arm with pruning shears. Alex Molina was taken into custody and the weapon was recovered.

Melina was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree. Both charges are felony charges. Molina is also facing a misdemeanor charge of Resisting Arrest.
