Update – The Fairfax County Police Department is now investigating a fatal shooting in the 13000 block of Coppermine Road in McNair. FCPD says it responded to a shots fired call. It is believed there was a dispute involving young people who were known to each other. Three people are involved and there are two victims.

At some point, the suspect pulled out a firearm and fired at least three rounds. One teenage victim is deceased. Another was shot at but not struck. FCPD is searching for a suspect at this time.

Original – The Fairfax County Police Department is investigating a shooting on Coppermine Road that left a teenager with life-threatening injuries. According to a social media post, officers are on the scene of a shooting in the 13000 block of Coppermine Road in McNair.

A teenage victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Fairfax County Police say they’re searching for a Hispanic male suspect who was wearing all black. The PIO is responding to the scene. The media staging area will be on Coppermine Road and Bronze Stone Pl.
