One man is dead following a deadly shooting in Elkhart, Indiana. The Elkhart Police Department reports that its Communications Center received a 911 call of a shooting with injuries in the 300 block of West Cleveland Avenue just before 11 p.m. on July 20, 2024.

EPD officers reached the scene and found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second adult male victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. EPD believes the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. The Elkhart County Homicide Unit assumed control of the investigation.
