The Elk Grove Police Department is investigating a shooting around 8:30 p.m. this evening. According to a social media post from the Elk Grove Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call about a male who had been shot at the Arco on Sheldon Road and East Stockton around 8:27 PM.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle against the gas station building. Officers discovered a male driver inside the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Aid was rendered until the male victim was transported to an area hospital.

Detectives say that the shooting occurred in the City of Sacramento before the victim drove to the gas station. The investigation will be handed over to the Sacramento Police Department.
