The Elgin Police Department is currently on the scene of a shooting. EPD reports that its officers responded to the 0-99 block of Woodland Avenue around 8:51 p.m. on August 11, 2024 for a report of shots fired.

Once officers reached the scene, they confirmed that shots had been fired. EPD has not provided any other details at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 847-289-2600.
