Yoncalla, Oregon – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media statement that it is investigating an apparent homicide-suicide in Yoncalla, Oregon.
According to DCSO, a business called the Sheriff’s Office requesting a welfare check on an employee who had not shown up to work around 10:20 p.m. on January 31, 2025.
Deputies responded to a resident in the 100 block of Williams Road where they reportedly found two individuals down. After forcing entry into the home, authorities confirmed that two adult individuals were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
DCSO says evidence at the scene indicates that this was a murder-suicide. The names of the involved parties are being withheld at this time. Authorities are not providing any other details at the moment.
