The Dothan Police Department is currently on the scene of a shooting at Rip Hewes Stadium. DPD reports that a victim suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was in a vehicle when a round went into the vehicle and hit the victim, according to authorities.

Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury. DPD believes the shooting was not related to the football game at the stadium and gunshots were not fired from the parking lot.

Officers are still trying to determine where the shot came from. DPD says it is possible that the shots came from several blocks away from the stadium.
