The Selah Police Department reports that a domestic incident led to a stabbing on Sunday. SPD says its officers responded to a report of a stabbing victim in the 100 block of West Orchard Avenue around 1:25 p.m. on November 10, 2024.
Selah Police say officers and deputies responded to the scene for what it calls a fictitious report of a robbery that preceded the assault. SPD says it determined that domestic partners, a 33-year-old male and a 30-year-old female were involved in a physical altercation.
SPD says the man was stabbed in the chest at some point during that altercation. He was transported to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries but is in stable condition, according to the Selah Police Department.
SPD reports that officers obtained a search warrant and multiple items were collected from the residence. The female was booked into the Yakima County Jail for Assault 1st Degree DV. No other details are available at this time.
