The Detroit Police Department has announced that a 24-year-old Detroit man has been charged in the death of an infant. According to DPD, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office has charged 24-year-old Charles Evans in connection to the homicide of a nine-month-old infant.

DPD says Evans is the father of the infant. Detroit Police Department investigators are expected to remain involved in the matter and assist the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office while it prosecutes the case.
