DeRidder Police arrest 18-year-old for allegedly shooting victim at High School Band Practice field

The DeRidder Police Department has announced the arrest of 18-year-old Anthony Ray Goldman in connection to a shooting. DPD says it received a complaint from Beauregard Health System that a juvenile had arrived with a gunshot wound.

DPD alleges that 18-year-old Anthony Ray Goldman was at the DeRidder High School Band Practice field on Oneal Street. At some point, Goldman allegedly fired several rounds from a .22 caliber handgun.

A juvenile was struck. A fight between Goldman and the juvenile occurred at the location. DPD confirms the firearm was located. It was found that the handgun had an obliterated serial number.

On September 24, Goldman was arrested for Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Number or Marks, and Possession of a Firearm in a Firearm Free Zone.
