The Delaware State Police announced it is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Christiana Mall in Newark on Friday night. On December 23, troopers were notified of a robbery that happened the previous day in the food court of the mall which is located at 100 Christiana Mall.

Troopers discovered that on December 22 around 9:12 p.m. a teenage victim was leaving the mall through the food court when he was approached by two suspects. Authorities say the suspects punched and kicked the victim before stealing his shopping bag and fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspects are believed to be teenagers. At this time, surveillance video and images are not available.
